Rain killed my truck ????????

I own a 1990 4-Runner 4x4 V-6 Automatic. I live in central Arizona and it doesn't rain much but the other day it did and now my truck won't run right. I was driving home from work when all of a sudden it just died out, then wouldn't start back up. I finally got it home and a week later its still doing it. When it dies out, there is no power at all anywhere in the truck. The starter doesn't turn over and the clock or lights won't even turn on. I checked the battery and connections and they seem to be fine. I also noticed that my inside dome lights quit working all together. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions. I think its the wiring but I have no idea where to start looking. This is my everyday driver. I need some serious help.

I don't know how moisture would have gotten in too easially, but maybe check under your distributor cap for moisture. Also any wiring near the firewall may have gotten damp.

check and clean all battery terminals and all grounds. Weird things can happen when they get corroded/dirty.

Do you have to jump it to get it started again. If so then it might be the alternator.

I was having a starting problem... on and off for a year or so...

Narrowed it down to the positive cable on the battery.

The end at the starter was totally corroded so sometimes i couldn't get enough current from my battery to the starter to get the engine to turn over.

Anyways...

New battery, starter fuse, fuel injector fuse, battery wiring, and dome light fuse later.... its all pretty.
