Quick question about seafoam
#4
Seafoam states you can add it to your crankcase, carb, efi or gas tank. There are probably other locations they "approve" of.
I've used it in my gas tank with a motor that sat a while. I didn't notice a difference but that was kind of the point (stabilize fuel).

well if it does work....think that in an old engine, youll have sludge blocking potential leak spots....if seafoam cleans that sludge away, there is more of a chance that your oil will leak out this nicely cleaned exit hole

above dude is exactly right; this is going to clean the crap-literally- out of your oil crankcase, run it about 50 to 100 miles, then do a complete oil/filter change.
any of the crud, that is helping to close a leak, is gonna get taken out...
