i ordered a low milage motor for my 93 yota its out of a 4 runner they say its "JDM" .... is there any huge differences between the 4 runner and the pickup???? overseas to u.s. model???? anything i can get out of the way before i throw the motor in???

 

I almost bought one but heard so many stories that they are hit and miss on quality and no real idea of true mileage i decided to 3.4 mine and the price has worked out to be very close to the same but the H.P. and M.P.G. being so much better it was the better solution for me but enter JDM engine into the SEARCH I am sure you will find what I am talking about for hit and miss Japanese domestic market(JDM) engines

 

The JDM motor will be tuned more for economy due to very VERY strict emissions in Japan so there would be a loss in power unless it's diesel.
