Hey guys I picked up a replacement throttle body and intake manifold so I can connect all my vacuum lines at the top (I have a turbo manifold/TB so some of the lines are just capped off or open). The connections on the bottom are a bit different though. Do I need anything more here to swap these over? There's a large hose that goes from the bottom of the intake to the bottom of the TB which the new one doesn't have as nipple for. Any tips?

What year/engine are we talking about?

I have a '94 with 3VZE; neither of those throttle bodies look anything like mine.

That big hose in question is from the older style iacv (air valve). Iacv controls idle at cold start. Cold=open valve=high idle. Operating temp=closed valve(mostly closed)=normal idle. The old style iacv uses a 12v heater element and coolant to close the valve. The newer style throttle body uses a different design iacv that uses coolant only to control the valve.

For the record, I have an 84 22r converted to fuel injection with a turbo manifold and tb and I'm switching to a manifold and tb from a '92 22re. All in an 87 pickup lol.

Hey guys, I finally read through both of those pages and they're a little unclear. Apparently I'm supposed to just ditch the air valve and run the coolant lines to the throttle body, but my problem is the new throttle body does not have the large coolant port that my old one does. Does anyone have pictures of how these hoses should be routed/connected?

That large port on your old throttle body is an air passage, not a coolant passage.

The iacv is internal on the new tb so less air hoses. You'll need some new hoses anyway though because several of them are molded way different for the newer style. For example, the valve cover vent hose.
