Question about installing cylinder head on 22r
My manual says to put sealant on the front two corners of block before putting the head gasket on but the pics aren't good enough to see exactly where. Can someone try to explain what they are talking about or maybe post a pic?

Its because there aren't any bolts there. Here is where they want you to put it...
Either at the way front of the engine where the timing cover and block meet (red)
OR:
At the front of the timing cover. (yellow)
Personally I didn't use any. lol

Thanks a bunch. From seeing your pic I can tell my book is saying to put where you marked in red. Don't guess it would hurt to put a little in both places since there aren't any bolts there. I'm not a big fan of the stuff but sometimes a little is needed.
Thanks again.

lol, this is actually a pic of me removing everything out of my engine. I was taking it apart to rebuild it. But I did use a zip tie when installing it
Good luck!

We try to pride ourselve in not demeaning anyone for asking questions, as if we think you should already know the answer.
We would like for people to use the "Search" function of the site though.
