I have a 1990 California (puke) 3VZE SR5 4WD A/T truck and I bought a spare ECU for it. The spare one that I got is listed for a 3VZE engine, auto trans, 4wd just like mine but is not a Cal. engine. Aside from the EGR temp sensor and the extra after-cat 02 sensor my Cal. truck has, is it safe to assume it will just plug in and run, albeit without the Cal. emissions sensors being "seen"?

I would think so.. but its tough to tell how much they changed... might check a FSM and see if they have an ECU schematic for the two of them and compare the differences.
