pulsation damper question

I have a '86 22re with a dying problem. I had a leaky fuel pulsation damper and clogged the hole up. Its acting like its starving for fuel so I tore it down for a pump filter and injector cleaning but when I was in there I looked at the damper and how fuel passes through. It goes through 4 crevises and back up the center of the bolt. Now since this was the main factor and the only part I messed with before its dying problem so maybe the nasty brown fuel clogged it or me. Now the main question, what year did they delete the damper for a banjo bolt? I called every parts store and a local screw and bolt store and no one carries a banjo bolt. Its a 14mm 1.5 bolt, Toyota couldnt find one and Id really like to delete the damper.

I can't point you at any specific place, but maybe find tractor or hydraulic hose vendors near you. A lot of the tractors (Massey-Ferguson and the like) are metric.

All that I know is it was the early 90's 22re motors. I am shocked that you can't find one, when you start dealing with turbo motors, most of the oil and coolant supply lines to the turbos go through a banjo bolt so I would think that they would be more abundant then that.

Cant find a bolt any place local. Not a tractor dealer, Toyota or any parts store. Im gonna bite the bullet and buy a brand new damper from Napa, $115 with a 90 month warranty.

Good choice.

If you can wait for the UPS man, RockAuto has one for $30 less (90 day warranty). Of course, there's shipping cost too.

Well, a guy on here said that place and it was like $80 but he didnt mention a warranty. Oriellys has one thats $85 for a year warranty and Napa is $115ish for a 3 year. I guess I it go by Advanced and Autozone, may be worth a shot. Ill be a little hurt if I buy it and it still wont run but o well lol.
