Sorry to hear of your troubles with the Toy. Keep us posted on progress and let me know if I can help.

X2!!

Also, have you tried the "pull the plug wire" test to see if you can make the knock go away and isolate the problem?

Sorry...you have a point there...usmarinerecon hope that you can diagnose your problem quickly and get your rig back on the road, especially since you just slapped in those 4.88's.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Later,

Jon

OH YEAH...have you checked your distributor? I know it sounds elementary but maybe you have a cracked or broken point and your are getting wierd spark..i guesss this kinda ties in with the previous "pull the plug wire" suggestion...who knows maybe it'll be something really simple.

Well it's in the shop now.... no word yet. The guy I take it to normally tells me whats wrong and lets me fix it if it's something I feel comfortable doing. I will keep ya'll posted on the progress and thank all of you for the advice and support of your freedom fighters. With out them and how crazy they are... we would probably not be talking on this forum right now.

the truck set for 2.5 years did you do anything before starting it back up?
like drain the gas tank or change the oil and coolant and spray some WD40 in the cylinders before starting it.
