Proper way to perform radiator flush

I just picked up a 94 extra cab 2 wheel drive with 129k miles. Runs super but I poped the cap on the rad and its full of brown fluid so im guessing it needs a flush. Whats the proper way to go about doing the flush and is there a plug on a the block or should I just disconect the lower hose to drain the fluid?

Drain radiator. Dispose of fluid properly.
Fill with water. Remove upper hose to radiator from radiator side only and aim down. Turn on heater. Crank truck. Take off radiator cap and stick running hose in it. Run until tstat opens and water comes out clear from upper radiator hose. Stop everything. Drain radiator. Refill with antifreeze.

You can also open the drain on the driver's side of the engine block and let water flush through that if you want to just do the whole cooling system.
