Why OD? Because that's the color it will get painted (olive drab).
1995 Toyota ext. cab 3.0V6 5-speed 4X4
I bought this truck to replace my current DD. It had a rod knock and for $500.00 it was a good deal.
Pulled the engine out and waited on a crank.
In the mean time I'll install the 2" body lift.
When I got the bed off I noticed some surface rust.
Then the wheels started spinning.
I bought this for $150.00 (not the floor jack )
Out came the torch.
Now the truck is just a cab and frame. I scrapped the bed because it was dented and rusted pretty bad. I also scrapped the parts I wasn't going to use and made back $250.00.
The plans are to rebuild the 3.0 (maybe a 3.4 swap), 5" SAS, 5" rear lift, 2" body lift, rear brake disc swap, transfer case e-brake, and some other little things to make it my own. This will be a slow build so don't expect too many updates at first. I would like it running by winter, but you know how these things go. I'm changing the gears in my DD and welding the frame (rust) so that will have to come first. So stay tuned, there may be some useful tech you can use, or cure your insomnia.
Either way, it will be helpful.

Depends. Who're you getting your springs from? I have 5" trailgear springs, and the front (got the heavy duty springs) settled about a 1/2", and the rears settled about 2"
