problem with 4x4 components..

Hi I have a jingle jingle sound that occurs when the hubs are locked but I am not 4 wheel drive. It is not loud or especially grindy but it is definitely there and I would hate to lose 4 x 4 halfway through the winter. I think it could be a u joint or something to do with the front drive shaft. the drive axles are quite new, it could be the hub bearing but I packed it with alot of grease and I just dont think its the hubs. Does anyone have any experience with this? All 4 x 4 components are free wheeling right up to the t case..

possibly the spindle bushings

I'd check that front drive shat too, the center one heading from the t-case to the front diff; make sure it's greased up. if it dries up it can get a lot of play. I'm not talking about the u-joints either, there's a grease zerk right on the side of the shaft; it lubricates the splines in the slip-yoke

Okay well I will grease that thing right up but a few questions. First sorry if this is an obvious question but what are spindle bushings and where can I find them? Next do you or anyone else for that matter know any tricks to narrow down my problem or say checking for play in the drive shaft and how much play there should be?
