Hello guys, my 88 truck have the 4x4 even if I have the trasfer in 2wd. I chek the wheels lock and are set in free. Any suggestion? is driving me crazy the sound of the transfer when i am driving in the highway. Is manual trans.

Auto or manual tranny? You can hear the transfer case driving down the highway?? Sounds like more issues than just stuck in 4wd....

It was running fine. I just lock the wheels and switch to low to pull a friend stuck. then i switch the lock to free and the transfer in 2wd. The truck do the usual sound as when is in 4x4 and actually is sending power to the front because i tell to my dad to move the truck to see if it was in 4x4. Sorry for my english is my second language.

Can we assume PR is Puerto Rico?

Have you tried backing up (reverse) to disengage?? I can't see you being stuck in 4WD with BOTH unlocked hubs AND transfer case in 2WD....
