Since everytime I've ask this question so far my thread gets threadjacked, Are the pro comp es3000's softer then the pro comp es9000's?

 

I believe so. I have the 3000's and they ride pretty soft, but then my rig is a 4940 lb pig.

 

I have the 3000's and wish I had something a bit stiffer

 

They're alright for the front, but they're far too stiff for the rear with OME coils.

So it will ride softer with the 3000's? I beat on this pretty hard offroad, so I wan't something that won't bounce and vibrate my asss all over..

 

Both. I have medium duty coils and the Procomp ES3000 were too stiff, they'd be WAY too stiff with the HD coils.

 

i love my 9000s in my runner

 

the 9000's are what i got and they are preety stiff. but they soften up a bit offroad. i believe they are all self adjusting.

 

The 9000s are gas filled where as the 3000s are oil filled. The 9000 is a little better shock. I have the 9000s on a 99 Z71 they ride good on it. I would think they would do ok on the 4runner

 

Yup. The 9000's are firmer than the 3000's. It's something akin to the adjustable Toyota shocks. The 3000's are like the soft setting, the 9000's like the hard setting. I have the 9000's an all four corners of the Surf.
