prime oil pump??
ive searched for how to prime an oil pump and ive got that down either white lithium grease or vasoline, anyways should i have to prime my oil pump after i took the t-cover off? i havent read of any1 els doing this in their timing chain replacements but most of them got new oil pumps....just wondering thanks guys

won't hurt to prime it. I'd suggest vasoline over lithium grease though- vasoline will dissolve / disperse in the oil more quickly than Li grease.
You could also leave the coil wire off and crank the engine over til you have oil pressure.

I use Lucas oil additive to prime my Toyota oil pumps.
As long as it is not dry at start up . To me it is not really what I would call priming like the Ford and Chevy units that are sealed but it serves the same purpose
