Power Windows help
I have a 94 4dr and the door windows in the back seat go up like a turtle any opinions? the fronts and the roof and tail window work fine I don't think its the motors but what do i know? also I have lost power from the front passenger power/window switch you can only bring it up not down and I have full control from the command drivers switch, any ideas maybe just a short? gonna open the (F)passenger switches and re-connect i guess I'll try that ....was wondering if its a short on the drivers side though ?? any suggestions??? thanks.

i did my pass side switch last year, took it all apart and cleaned the contacts etc. be very careful you dont loose any of those contacts and pay attention to how the come out cause they are a pita to get back in!!
im in the same boat as last summer, the switch works intermittantly but i have full operation from the driver side. going to swap a rear switch to the front and see how that works.

Ya there is 2 white plastic tabs under the switch, one had melted and wasn't making a connection anymore. I just ended up putting the switch in from the back door and the dead switch in the back.

To speed up the rear windows you might try this pull the door skin (carefully) and lubricate the drive with a good quality lubricant (not wd-40). You need one with some silicone or other similar product in it. LPS is a good product we use in aviation lasts forever, slippery as hell, and a nice funky smell too.
After this you also want to use a good rubber conditioner on the seals.
Your problem is most likely related to this. The fronts don't show it because they probably get more use then the backs and so they keep themselves from drying out. hope this helped aviator.

Hey I'm in the same boat now. My rear driver side window sometimes won't roll up even when i use the driver side switch. The motor is fine because when it does work it rolls up quick. I sometimes the only way it will roll up and down is when i open the rear driver door. Crazy eh? I read the threads and I'm going to clean up the contacts and stuff.
