Power steering line question

Power steering line question

I have a 1993 pickup with a 4 cylinder 5 spd and I have a power steering line leaking from the pump to the rack and i can't seem to find it anywhere the line is about 12in long. Any help would be great. Thanks

Clean it off. Pressure wash it. Let it dry. Baby powder it. Crank it up. You should find your leak.

Sorry I can find the leak I can't find what line it is exactly when I look for it to buy. I think it is a return line

I just had a very similar problem in my 93 and found that it was a rusted out power steering cooling loop that goes out in front of the radiator. fluid was running down the line and getting blown around by the fan, so it was a little tricky to find where it was originating. As others mentioned, clean it up and look for the newest wet spot.

Yeah I no where it is leaking I am just not sure what line it is it might be the return line or a cooling line like you said

The return line will be held on with hose clamps or some type of clamp, my guess is that it is your pressure line and this will be bolted into the pump and the steering gear box. If it is just your return line, you can get bulk hydraulic hose from the parts store for cheap.
