Power Brake booster replacement questions.

I have hard brakes.
I have replaced master cylinder, new front rotors slotted and drilled, new front calipers, new rear shoes. Was working perfectly until this morning.
Started up and hard pedal. If I press real hard on brakes it stops just fine. I checked the vacuum to the booster and I have plenty of vacuum. I also notice that after engine is turned off I still have vacuum on booster.. check valve is working. Cant think of anything else to check. I have replaced a booster cylinder once before on a Ford Pickup 20 years ago that had same problem.

question I have:
How to replace booster cylinder.
1. do I need to remove the lines from the master cylinder?
2. Does the lower drivers side dash need to come off?
3. is there an adjustment when installing new booster?

any tips or tricks to make this go faster or things to look out for?

Thanks.

Anthony

Its not hard to replace the bake booster, just unbolt the master cylinder and carefully pull it free of the brake booster, then comes the hard part, you need to get your head under the dash so you can see were its connected to the brake peddle, pull the retainer pin and disconnect the booster from the brake peddle and then unbolt the booster (4 nuts under the dash) and remove it. Install the new booster in the reverse order.

Was there ever a conclusion? I'm about to swap out my booster. Do I need to remove the brake lines or can I just disconnext the MC from the booster?

I leave the MC connected to the lines and just separate the MC from the booster. I am gentle with the metal lines but they have enough flexibility to move enough to get it out of the way.

Ah, well I just went ahead and disconnected all the hoses before I saw this but it's no big deal to put them on and bleed the system. Thanks for the future advice though

I replaced booster with a used one. Got very little pedal and very jumpy. What's wrong?
