I am running a small block 350 done absolutely right with no cutting or hacking to the truck. It has somewhere around 300hp but have not confirmed it. It fits very snug but has a lot of modified parts to make it look almost factory. It is still got the original 5spd and love it. No build thread started but got a million photos to start one just haven't yet.

Yeah I think its a BJ70 or something, I always get the LC models confused.

We're from Canada, eh. These pictures were taken in BC.

Here's a pic of the box in action.

Nice. All it needs is a good paint job to blend it all together and it'll look like it came like that out of factory.

Was thinking about this and looking at your rig, would a 3rd gen lift gate work to close up the cab? You would keep the roll down rear window (a feature I love) and could still use the factory tail gate as the tail gate.

Omg! I like this one more! Dude I think you just inspired me. Some day in the future I will get one of those. I love FJ40's but man both of yours are in pristine! I have only seen one fj40 and FJ45 restored to completely stock condition and that was at the Norwalk CA dealership. But those 2 were not for sale. Ever since then I've always loved those models. Some day, mock my words, some day i will have one and it will be as sexy as your blue one lol

Beautiful, Aaron.
I don't know which one I like more.. I really like that orange, but I love that the blue has the factory Toyota engine..

Add another 'yota to the dream list:
  • First Gen ✔
  • Second Gen
  • 4Runner ✔
  • Third Gen
  • Fj40

DAYUM Aaron.... x3-4 on the SICK LC's!!! Beautiful resto's(Or just good maintenance, eh? hahaha)...

Oh, and Richard?... I WILL NOT MOCK YOUR WORDS, MAN! Quit being such a masochist!!!! ......heheh, jk... one of my curses, .... 'Can't resist playing around with typos', hahaha..... And I agree, Richard... I have been looking for one for a LONG TIME(In the realm of "I can justify spending that! Then I'll restore it a bit over time".... )... but alas, only a couple have come up, VERY QUICKLY gone from the ad pages.... They just are so rarely that clean! Let alone pretty rare! haha. But mind you, .. I WILL mark your words... I'm gonna be razzing you in a few years if you don't have one... so you better start hunting after you finish your SAS!!
