I just joined the other day, mainly to read up about 2nd gen 4Runners since I was in the market. This is what I ended up buying Monday. It's a '95 with the 22RE and 5 speed.

nothing special don't have the money for anything after the rebuild so probably going to sell soon

 

I'm in Lafayette. The guy I bought it from definitely kept it in great running condition. Everything works on this thing, and you could eat off the engine.

The body has some minor issues that I may or may not get around to addressing- the clearcoat is peeling, ˟˟˟˟˟ty windshield seal, and some rust below the driver's side rear door. I've done some body work on VWs in the past, so I think I can probably take care of these issues on the cheap.
