Thanks alot, 81, ...appreciate it. I"ve been really grateful for it's dependability/reliability, .... and that I've never had even a fender bender in 8 years since buying it!!!! Fhewwww, hope it stays that way, lol. Just gotta figure out why it's eating more gas than it used to, and I'll be EVEN HAPPIER! But the ride, since the Zuks? SOOOOOOO much nicer!

BTW, those stupid quarter panel runners on the rear that start behind the rear tire and meet with the bumper ends? They don't make em anymore,....can't even find them aftermarket. The ends? NO PROBLEMO, lol. Those? NADA!

I don't get it, no quality steel panels for 88 pickup beds either. I may hit a junk yard ans see if I can get some 1gen 4 runner skins, wonder if they would fit.

You mean the side panels for the bed lining? Where as mine are plastic? Those? lol.

Could you maybe make some out of good sheet metal? I'm sure you wanna do it right, I fully understand. Yeah, it's really strange. I guess they just never had enough of a demand to buy the moldings for those, eh? Only reason I could think of.

Chef I meant the outside, to cover my rust issue. Small amount but annoying. Both front and rear painted red to match. As outlined roughly.

Roof rack, that was an example I was trying to get across in another post. I probably would not run something like that.

Teuf,

I'm confused, .....so at least all is normal, lol... But no, really, you're saying you'd like flares for your fenders that would enable you to cut out the rust and cover it with something? Also, are you saying you're having trouble finding a roof top rack for a pickup? My friend had a REALLY nice one, a Confer Rack that he had mounted at local fabricator. REALLY nice, with 4 Hella's and his Hi-lift, Shovel and Ax all locked to mounts upon it.

Anyway, could you explain for me? lol.

I was looking at this one, Teuf........ http://www.discountramps.com/car-roof-rack.htm

This site has MANY, and they have extensions for a longer roof like mine, with either mesh top or larger bars, and they mount on 2 cross mounting bars. It's just difficult to put a rack through the roofs of these without lots of supports, etc. If they made one ready to install, I'd drill it out and seal it up and VOILA! lol. However, for your truck, I think a Confer or otherwise would work fine!
