Been a subscriber to this thread for awhile now. Finally did this yesterday. Total cost $0. Everything was used from extra parts my friends had. I used an old Civic AEM pipe cut the bend off of it, used a pipe that was made for a B13 Sentra SE-R on the throttle body. I had to block off all the vacuum openings on that piece. PCV went into the bung already on the AEM pipe. Had to redrill the Maf adaptor. Took me 2 hours and some change to do cause I had to cut and mess around with a few things.
Overall, I love the difference it makes. No more revving the life out of this motor to pass anyone.
One other thing I know it was mentioned in the thread but the two metal lines running in front of the engine that get connected to the Air box via rubber hoses. What do they both do? With them uncapped, they make a lot of noise since they suck air. Can I cap them both off without a problem?

they are vacuum lines i'm pretty sure you dont want to just leave them open i just ran mine into the air intake tube with some 90 degree fittings. but in your cas just get some hose long enough to reach the ports you plugged up near the throttle body. looks good though!

Just a heads up. If you bypass the little silencer thats attached to the airbox ( towards the rad, its triangle..ish) you will get some unwanted noise.... A really anoying screeching sound..
Thats why I recomend you keep the airbox and the small silencer. I bypassed mine and didnt notice a difference.

u mean the thing in the bottom right corner makes that noise if you remove it? i took off the thing below that

The triangle one on the lower right of your picture is the one im talking about.
See picture above.
I bypassed that box, and I could hear the noise, it was quiet but there. I put it back in and the noise was gone...

I'm putting a STOCK intake back on my 91 22re tomorrow...
1) it's really not worth the minimal gains it makes
2) I think my setup now has a leak at the AFM adapter...

the only thing I noticed with my intake was the sound... and I can't hear that now with the new exhaust
so back to stock it goes
of coarse, this is the 22re; it probably effects the 3.0 a little different, probably because of the fact that both motor's pull air through the same size square in the AFM... that square is probably tuned decently for the flow of the 22re, but I'm sure the 3.0 requires just a little more flow... and trying to pull that through a 22re sized intake is a bit of a restriction... so I can see it helping the 3.0 out some

So I was bored today (i hate rain) and decided to do the isr mod to my p/u. It cost me about $8, and a few things I already had in the garage... All totaled... this could prolly be done for under $20....
Just took a 3" piece of 2 3/4" exhaust pipe, to join the 2 intake hoses... no drilling required if you use another intake hose, as it already has a nipple on for the hose goin to the valve cover. just grab 2 feet of 1/2" heater hose to connect the hose that went to the resonator to the second intake hose.
So far I have noticed a definite increase in mid range torque, I dont have to downshift on some hills I used to, and it gets through the gears a bit quicker... I did not notice much difference in sound tho....

I'm confused about something. If some people are keeping their stock airbox intact, why reroute the smaller plenum hose to the ISR tube? Can't you just leave it blugged in at the stock point or are you removing that bean shaped structure under the rhomboid box. Also, I see some people just putting a brether filter in place of the crankcase breather tube. Couldn't you logically do that and then run a tube from the Intake to the AFM without having to tap an outlet? Or does the crankcase need some kind of pressure differential?
