Is it possible to add power steering...
#5
Yes its possible. I did it on my truck last year. Took about 3-4 hours to get the old parts off and new parts installed and working. Buy new lines and hoses and make sure you use ATF for fluid and not power steering fluid.

Do you have any tips on what year parts to get and was there anything that presented a challenge during install? What about the mounting braket?

AFAIK the pump, brackets, crank pulley, and reservoir should be the same for all 22re's. The box, hoses, cooler line, and steering shaft might be different for each generation but I dont know for sure.
I got my box, crank pulley, and steering shaft from the junkyard and then the brackets and cooler line from someone parting out a truck. I got new hoses, idler pulley, belt, and pump from the parts store and I am running a custom reservoir.
