Thanks alot, I'am really happy I did it. I still wish I had the factory cover, but its a little pricey. So this is the next best thing I could do.

Dude, you crazy monkey you! lol... Seriously, great job! I might just add some of that, adhesive tacked to the stock cover(which is black!)... And mine rattles a bit, so maybe I can get rid of the 'home made wedges of Islands Restaurant Drink Coasters' by adding this extra filler, eh? I have MANY extra sun visors, too.... YEAH, another idea to steal! hehehe.

Cool, will do! Actually, ...hmmmm, I have some Industrial stuff from when I meet up with my Bro-inlaw(he owns Enviroserv/Hazmat Co.). This stuff is INSANE, and once you lay it down, FORGET ever trying to separate things! lol. It was for getting labels on drums that could not just be peeled off(Hazmat waste label tampering is a crime, sir!) hehehe. So yeah, maybe that stuff would be better!

Oh, and they secondary purpose to doing something on my cover is because it RATTLES like crazy! lol. So, I will test fit a cut out and see if it's holding it away from the glass enough to put pressure on those 'clips' that are supposed to hold the cover in place. I guess maybe there was pads that kept it tight, originally? Not sure... can't see how else it could have become loose...it's just a piece of plastic, hasn't shrunk much if any... Hmmmm.

BTW, ....sorry man. Just saw a whole moonroof set(red) the other day on CL here... Was gonna get it to someone, but the guy sold it by the time he called him 3 hours later, lol.

I don't know what the pads look like on factory cover, but assuming there rubber or some kind of poly. Maybe wearing out (getting thinner) thus causing a loose fit. Just a blind guess. I hate, rattles my wife (she's a barbie, drives a jeep) ,gets mad at me when driving the Toyota because if I hear a rattle or something I tend to focus on it and she thinks I'm not paying attention. Hates driving with me. I told her that the truck doesn't run right with her in it anyway. Thats a big HaHa!

Nice job, I thought it was factory until I started reading. I love the reflective material--my OEM unit gets sizzling hot here in the AZ sun and I am going to add something like that to it.

I don't know weather to laugh or cry. I had to do some company business today and had to drive to a pretty seedy area. There was no parking anywhere to be found. So I parked about 3 long blocks away. I was a little leery leaving my truck there. I was gone for about 1 1/2 hours and came back to find somebody got in it. Took my console lid, both top and bottom. But what really pissed me off was they took my new sunroof cover I just made. From the looks of it they probably used a slim jim to get in as the passenger side window lip moulding was tweeked. Still really pissed!!!, but now I'm just glad they didn't take the truck. It's pretty evident they knew what they wanted. Have to see if I can find a used console cover and will start on a new sunroof cover this weekend.

HO-LY-CRAAAAAAAAAAAP! FURIOUS for you, man.. But YES, you didn't lose your rig like I have 2 times! So that's good, right?

Wow, they must have been watching you park it and walk off. Hopefully you let this business know? The guys that got me waited til we drove off and pulled a flat bed tow truck behind it and drug it UP THE FREAKING FLATBED WITH THE ALARM GOING! ....NOT ONE PERSON came out and looked into it on a busy street in Burbank, CA!

Really sorry, man!

It happened in an older industrial area, I buy special acrylic from this company. I don't think they would care anyway. I was on a time crunch and rarely buy from them. If I have to go there again I'll take the bus. And yes I think they spotted a clean rig and pounced on it.

That inhales profusely.

Hope you kept your pattern.

Had cameras etc installed at the shop and installer said they could notify me with live video if they go off. I told them no, as one I didn't care what the goats are doing, and two I know what would happen if I did see someone breaking in, they'd get shot.

I have a cardboard cut out somewhere around garage, if wifey didn't re-cycle it.
Collected most of materials this morning, glad I bought extras. Borrowed windshield sun shade from the (Barbie) Jeep she never uses it. The console lid's won't be as easy to get, might have to go with another color and re-paint.
