So i have a 22re 5spd manual toy pickup, looking to replace the motor mounts with the energy suspension mounts. however, my transmission mount is sagging pretty badly... and it is only 2 months old. since i am basically solid mounting the engine, where can i find poly trans mounts? or should i just run solid mounts on the transmission? i am not solid mounting the motor because of cost and vibration... its still my DD.

You're not going to like the poly mounts in a DD. You can mod the stock mounts with a chain or bolt to keep the drivers side from tearing off.

I got a TG poly Bomb Proof T-case mount for free and did not like it in my DD. Went back to stock.

What do you mean the trans mount is sagging? Is it oil soaked?

 

I had factory Toyota engine and trans mounts in my 87 22re. I drove it pretty hard for 100k miles and never had a mount tear or sag. I now have factory mounts in my 89. They're holding up just fine so far.

 

my truck is fully long travel and i am looking at a cage pretty soon here, hence the solid mounts. i know the stock mounts are durable especially if bolted down, but im looking to solid mount everything, or at least tighten it up a bit. The tranmission is not leaking fluid, but the rubber of the mount that holds it up has sagged down over 3/4".. i can wiggle it by hand. Are there no alternatives for trans moutns?

 

shouldn't sag or wiggle that much, actually new mounts should feel like they're solid. but just get the stock mount for it, it absorbs road/offroad shock to your transmission, to much shock to it and you'll damage the internals. if its wiggling and sagging you probably got a faulty mount. also power steering fluid and engine oil will damage the rubber, not just trans oil. solid mounts are horrible for DD, you don't know road shock until you hit that nasty pot hole and something actually does break. i almost lost my trans to a faulty torn trans mount

 

TG and others have a direct bolt in poly mount for the t-case that isn't too bad. I just didn't like it for a DD.
