Please help need advice

hey guys could really use some advice i have a 93 4runner and im pretty sure the head gasket is leaking running poor and blowing white smoke. Anyways to get to the point i am just curious if i should go ahead and do the headgasket or would it be wiser to just swap the engine found an 89 is this engine compatible with the 93? ive done engine swaps and rebuilt engines before just have not twisted wrenches in a while can you give me some advice please the engine is supposed to be around 100k im thinking it will be cheaper to swap the engine rather then take head off get gaskets machine head and replace valves and who knows what else i find when i get in there the truck has been on the gutless side for a while now

Well...if ya got a guaranteed running engine...id swap it in. Be quicker and easier for sure.

89 motor should work. May have to change a few small parts.

I personally hate the 3.0

But you got what ya got.
