I've since done the ISR mod. And have removed the steel vacuum, fuel, and coolant lines that ran under the intake plenum chamber as a unit. I also re-installed the plenum chamber stay/bracket, after drilling it out for weight reduction. Pics soon...hopefully before I move on to vers. 3.0(ISR - stock air box + hi-flow air filter)

I like the color motif. Now all you need is some golden arches on the plenum and a big, curly, red wig..........for the special occasions.

I can't recall on that one. But it could be from another thread here somewhere. I'm always saving pics like that for later use.

I've got that one and this one that goes with it.

I'll jump in. I had the upper 2 screws fall out of the plastic cover on the PAIR. What a racket! Ditto to using socket-heads to make the reinstall easier. They are now gutentite. I've also been eyeing all that emissions ˟˟˟˟e and thinkiing about just pulling the whole lot. But I think I'd fail emissions testing here in ATL.

This did not go so well for me.
I have followed the perscribed steps...here is what is happening.

Crank the engine, and it will not start without feathering the gas pedal. The engine will conk out if i do not hold the pedal, keeping the truck above idle.
My fuel pressure regulator is showing about 70psi, this should be 30-50psi. I have replaced my regulator thinking it had gone bad during the deletion of the PAIR and EGR systems, but the new one shows the same pressure.
The truck smells rich, and not just from the cold start injector, i know this because i had held my foot on the pedal until it warmed up.
I have checked the voltage on the FPU, and it reads 38ohms....good. I have not tried to move air through it however.

Before i deleted this stuff the truck ran fine, although i noticed recently that it would not hit the high idle when cold, until a few seconds of being started in the morning.

My symtoms seem like a vacuum leak, but even with a leak before(truck was a mess) she would still start and idle, albeit rough. She will not idle now. I cannot find a vacuum leak, and have plugged and unplugged, and added clasps to the hoses that didn't have them to make sure it is sealed. My air intake is old, but doesn't have any leaks that i could see(i have removed it for inspection multiple times).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have all my removed componants, so i can always go back since i just made block off plates and plugged all the vac lines (Throttle Body...E & R)

Thanks for the help

sounds like a vacuum leak to me.... If I'm not mistaken...The fuel pressure regulator is vacuum operated, so if there isnt enough vacuum there to open it up, and allow fuel to flow back to the tank(as opposed to straight to the injectors) it will raise your fuel pressure...
Maybe someone with more knowledge of the fuel system will chime in here, but it sure does sound like all the symptoms of a vacuum leak to me...

I bet you remove the wrong Vacuum line and have no Vacuum at the regulator. Go back and recheck and make sure all the stuff is plugged where it needs to be and the right lines are disconnected. You could have disconnected the wrong one. i almost did.

EGR & PAIR Delete / remove no idle SOLUTION

I forgot i posted in here....
Found my problem...replace the bolt on the front of the plenum that holds the EGR bracket!
I found one post in one thread on TTORA after searching for days, so i want to post it here also. And if it was mentioned here, i overlooked that small but crucial detail.
