pacesetter full exhaust review
So i decided to purchase a pacesetter full exhaust system (header and catback system) the price was right but i guess you get what you pay for it was 641 tax in cnd.
I have to say its not really worth the money i can not! get the header to seal i have retorqued it 4 times now in the proper order and still nothing. the any advice on getting it to seal would be great.
the sound I would have to say is about a 6 outta 10 it pretty much still sounds stock. it doesnt really have a deep idle or anything sound s a little better over 2000 rpm but not much
Quality wish its really not that bad but the whole kit was 6 inchs too short and the clamps they gave me were 2inch clamps and the whole exhaust was 2 1/4 inch so where they were for i have no idea.
overall rating
performance difference 3 outta 10 (but hey it is just an exhaust)
price 8outta10
sound4-10
quality and fitment 5 outta 10

thats a pacesetter for ya buddy.
and once you get it installed its only gonna be a matter of time before she cracks and woot not. there really not very great at all. could have got a decent header and went to an exhaust shop for the rest and you would have probably gotten away with a better deal.

I put a Pacesetter on my Honda years ago. The muffler sound sucked, and it was dyno proven that I lost 15hp vs having no muffler (back to back dyno runs with and without). It also leaked quite bad at the cat because the flange wasn't truly flat. I'd heard bad things about them rusting from the inside from exhaust moisture so I put a pin hole in each pipe just like many stock exhausts have and they haven't rusted out yet. Overall not a good buy in my opinion

holy cow from my header back not including my $30 muffler it cost me $150 to do mine. USD though. Unless they were using stainless steel pipe that's crazy. lol.

Yeah I've found it's just better to bring your own muffler to a shop and have them throw together some pipe. 90% of us don't need free flowing mandrel bends that gain 2hp at 6000rpm

I bought a pacesetter header, high flow replacement cat, and a stock replacement cat- back all at the same time. I painted them all with Dupli-color VHT paint prior to installation. I have em all on about 3 years now. I recently had em off wile i was doin some mods, and I repainted them before re-installing and no issues. Rust or otherwise. The header gasket issue i solved by modifying a stock manifold gasket to work with my header. No more issues. Hope that helps.
