Original A/C in need of charge

I have an 88 4cyl 5spd 4x4. The a/c compressor needs charged but it's still set up for r12. Turns out r12 was outlawed for environmental reasons. So my question is, are there r134 refrigeraterant conversions for it? Or am I going to have buy a whole new system.

Conversion is not that expensive. No need for a whole now system. IIRC it only involves a few fittings and seals.

Just ordered an A.C. compressor for my 91 and recharging with new fittings this weekend. Old compressor was bad but Amazon had a new Denso for a great price. I actually ordered two by mistake and have to return one now (face palm) $190 mistake. So yeah

Have you installed the compressor yet? Thinking of replacing mine because it is leaking a bluish purple from it.
