Opinions on clutch manufactures

Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with either Perfection Clutches or Barns/Arnley clutches?

the perfection is almost too affordable to assume that its a quality product?

just curious.

I've heard of folks having bad experiences with chinese or Korean made clutches/presplates???

I've never heard perfection clutches.

South bend is good, centerforce is good, ACT is decent, Exedy (genuine) is good too

the perfection is apparently the same parent company that produces Zoom clutches?

i will be putting a Downey in mine here this coming week. Will let you know howit works out. Just a side note though--its seems quality after market like Downey and Marlin are cheaper than AutoZone (crap to me). Check out Downey or Marlin and see what you think--but order now because it takes a little while to get them-->they are on national back order. Waskilly also sells OE for $199 but they are also on backorder by 2 months

I'd buy from Marlin over Downey.. Marlin knows his stuff and has been a big supporter for the 4wd industry for years.

I've got an ACT clutch ($$) - it's great, but overkill for a 22re application.

I've used CF 1 with great success.. I've read mixed reviews about CF2 and dual friction.

I won't install autozone or any off brand clutch again *ever* - I had a failure and the resulting labor is simply too painful...

Hays has a "brute" clutch that I ordered at one time.. Looked good, didn't use it due to going to a 22rte flywheel... Might be worth checking out.

personally im not a big fan of gm parts, but I have no experience with their clutches. I'd personally give marlin a call, and see what they can do for shipping.

I ordered up a Marlin 1200lb.ft. kit last week. I'll give some input on how it is once I get together.

I've got a CF 1 and had great luck with it as well. A perfect medium for street and trail.
