OME lift on the way

after going camping in tofino last week and pulling my tent trailer the 600km from where i live my 4runner is saggier than ever. so i decided to get some new springs and 4 new pro comp 9000 shocks. im really stoaked to get the rear end of my truck of the pavement.

on an aside note. i dont get why people complain about the power output from the 22re and the 3vze engines. i have a 22re and i pulled a 1200lb trailer through 3 mountaiin ranges with no problem. are people expecting to drag race uphills? if you can maintain the speed limit that what more do you need? thats just my opinon.

keep it real

The 22r in my dad's truck feels terrible in our hills here. Going up the hill to Tahoe, it's usually 3rd gear and 35-45mph the whole way. Not fun. Sometimes if I get the mo going before the hill starts, I can keep a little speed for part of the hill, but it progressively slows down.

hey just a follow up question. will lifting the rear give more articulation, or does it basicly allow for larger tires and better loking stance?

LOL My other car is a Subaru WRX ... got 5 tickets in 2 1/2 years with it. All in all, climbing is much more fun! (and actually CHEAPER!!)

But yeah, Remko- ... I am right there with you ... ordered my OME springs, shocks and steering stabilizer on Sat. After that, its down to get new shoes and an alignment and I should be good for a while! (I HOPE!! ha). Let us know how it goes!
