Is this exhaust manifold gasket going to be a problem? It looks like the rivet on the bracket is keeping it from a perfect seal.
I will not be a big deal now to replace it.

It lives again.
I cranked it for a few sec ( about 30) with out plugs to get the oil going..

Then tested compression to see if i did the head gasket right. Battery was kind of weak at this point.

Cylinder 1

Cylinder 2

Cylinder 3 was a bit higher Could of been more oil in there from when i was making sure to not have a dry start.

Cylinder 4

I also timed it. Put a jumper in the plug and set it to 5 deg TDC. Unplugged it and it went to about 12 something. I don't know if that is good or bad but it sounds ok. Took it for a short drive about 2 blocks. It has lots of power. I just filled it with water and will drain and refill it tomorrow with the good stuff. The oil is so clean it looks like water.
I let it idle for about 10-15 min all the gauges are working and no bubbling gases back through the radiator.

I might wait on changing the oil and filter. Im think i will check it every 10 miles and possibly change it in 50 miles.

I just really tired right now and Im going to go soak in the bath tub.

Tomorrow I will go in for NC state inspections. I need my tags. then I can really start doing the fun stuff.

So Im looking to redo the Windshield. I got the trim off and broke a few clips. but it looks like who ever replaced the windshield last time. Broke a lot of the clips. I only had 2 on the top and 2 on one side. I dont know if the bolted ones hold in the bottom or not.

Its all chrome ( No Rust) but whoever did it used the urethane to glue the trim on.
So how many clips is it supposed to have ?

Those clips are expensive. Toyota charges like $5 each so one tube of silicone holds everything in place for a lot less. I look for clips and small parts like that in auto recyclers. Yesterday I removed all the window trim and only was able to get two clips total that weren't broke. It also had been caulked on.
I think there are six on the bottom, six on top, and three on each side. Lots of clips! They break real easy too. I had metal one's on my Mustang. They could be bent back into shape easly.

I got it all back together. No leaks as far as i can tell.
I bent the chrome so and popped some off when i should of slid. and its missing some clips. So I put extra adhesive in that area and put a strap and card board to hold it down while it dries.
