no start please help!

no start please help!

I have a 94 toyota pickup 4x4 22r it cranks over fine but doesnt start at all i installed new spark plugs fuel filter i even put a jumper n the dig port so the fuel pump would run still not start!i read that the circuit opening relay is suppost to click when the jumper is n place when u turn the key on but no go! any advise thank u kenny

do u have spark? did u put the plug wires back on in the correct order, coil wire?

I think on the later 22REs (assuming you have not swapped in an old carbed 22R in your pickup), the fuel pump test jumper may not cause the CO relay to turn on like it does on the earlier engines.

But in any event, find out why the CO relay is not turning on (if that is the case, unplug the starter wire and listen for the CO relay to click with the key turned to start).

if im correct the pump is up on the motor manual pump, pour a little gas down the carb and try to fire it, sometimes u have to prime the system buy getting the motor running.

it does have spark and good compresson on all 4 cylinders the fuel pump is n the tank it is fuel injected. the fuel pump runs when u put the jumper wire in the B+ and the fp termanal in the dig port under the hood with the pump running the truck still will not start i was wondering if there might be a regulator problem but have been unable to find it.didnt know if the open curcit replay was causing the problem?
