No Speedo

Just swapped a different transmission into my 94 4x4 22RE. Now the speedometer won’t work. Pulled all the sensors off of the old transmission and put them on the new one and it still doesn’t work. Any suggestions? Everything worked correctly before the swap and the transmission is out of another 94 4x4 22RE.

Mechanical or electronic speedo? The pickup goes into the transfer case so transmission shouldn't be the culprit. You either overlooked something or broke something doing the swap. Going to need a lot more info here...

Any Check Engine Light codes? Or codes from the OBDII code reader?

Did you trace the cable from the speed sensor, to ensure all the connections along the line up to the Combination Meter (gauge set) are all connected and in good shape? No plugs with pushed pins, broken retainers etc? I'm sure there's a fuse associated with this system someplace. Have you checked the fuse(s) for the speedo system?

Just throwing out any ideas that pop into my pea brain...

Electronic speedo. From what I can tell everything should be in working condition. Not saying I didn’t overlook a wire that got smashed at some point.
Haven’t checked any fuses. Will do that when I get a chance. If it is a fuse, what you pipe cause it to pop on the “new” transmission?

Was your negative battery cable disconnected?

If not possible something arced hooking things back up.

wires got pinched ?

Battery was disconnected. During install I never seen anything get pinched, was trying to keep an eye on all of them to avoid that, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
