This may be a dumb question, but I just want to make sure. Just did an engine swap in my 86. Saturday we are going to try and get it fired up. I have no pressure in the clutch pedal. Some guys at work told me I need to bleed the lines. Is that it? The pedal goes all the down with hardly any effort and it comes back up like it should. The manual really doesn't tell me a whole lot.

 

Yeah bleed it, the manual will tell you how to.

 

make sure to keep the resevoir topped up too!

 

If the truck is new to you its worth bleeding the clutch hydraulics until you get only clean fluid coming out anyway. Contaminated fluid can cause hydraulic failure but generally not as bad as your describing.
