What up fellas. I'm a newb to 4runners. Always been a fan, first time owning. I recently picked up a 93 4runner 5spd 4x4 with the 3.0v6. It has 180k miles. Runs great. Is there anything I should be looking out for? This 4runner got recalled by toyota. The dealership installed a brand new motor in it about under 2 yrs/ 15k miles ago. Due to the head gaskets. I have all the paperwork from the previous owner.

They put a whole new motor in? Sweet! Usually they just replace the HG.

If you have the HG problem out of the way, youre good to go! Just dont let it over heat.

Yeah I guess it damaged the cylinder walls and crank bearings. The paperwork has a list of everything they put in. New block, heads.. The list goes on n on. mostly engine none of the accessories Alternator, ac compressor.
