So I finally picked up my first truck, '93 pickup, Sr5 4x4 ext cab, manual tranny, manual tcase, all the fancy power options for $2200!! And I couldn't be happier
It does drive a little rough though, he already replaced the radiator and timing belt, but the clutch needs to be done which I plan on doing this weekend, I've never done this before but I am fully capable, so what all should I do why I'm doin the clutch? It has a nice little drip, haven't found where exactly its coming from though, what seals would be easy to get to why I'm Down there and what else would be wise to replace?
I am a noob, but eagerly learning so be nice

I would replace the rear main seal and trans input seal at the same time as the clutch, get the flywheel resurfaced, starter is already out too so not a bad idea to replace the contacts

If that's a 22RE, I'm not aware that it has a timing belt. What did he replace?

Check the u-joints; if they're good, leave them be. For fluids, I recommend getting Redline synthetic fluids from a Redline distributor (not a parts store) - it's about 1/2 price compared to parts store.

If your going new clutch may as well do the hydraulics as well along with the rubber hose.

If your drips are from the front, likely culprits are the cam seals and the front main crankshaft seal. The valve cover gaskets also tend to leak, and the oil seeps down, so just keep a sharp eye and you'll be fine.

Take a general looksy around all hoses you can see and touch. If they are brittle or hard, replace them before they fail at the wrong time.

As previously suggested, Redline fluids CANNOT be beat. And as always, take care of your engine and your truck will take care of you.
