Yes, notice it says 'out of stock'. I have actually been able to order the item from at least 3 suppliers (including amazon) only to be subsequently told that the order has been cancelled because the part is no longer available.

Missed that.

In the meantime you could use tailpipe flex tube. Bend it around to fit.

Yeah. My apology. They seem to be discontinuing the exhaust for the 22RE. I went to the Walker catalog and found that the parts for the 6 cylinder seem to be in stock a lot of places. The 3.0 exhaust pipes are 2" while the 22RE are 1.75" so you have to get a reducer (Walker 41960). I'd try to order the 3.0 exhaust parts. I tried putting 22re in my shopping cart a couple of places and it cancelled, but I didn't try it with the 3.0. Let us know what you do.

do you think the tailpipe for the 6 cyl would be same except for pipe diameter?

I would think the back section that loops over the rear axle to the exhaust tip should be the same. How much of the forward end is needed could be different as the exhaust systems have different parts. You could always cut the forward end to the properly length and use a size transition piece. A bigger tailpipe might help with flow.

Take the leap of faith.

I asked Walker if they could confirm a fit (other than diameter) and they did get back to me saying it looks similar in terms of bends, however, is 2 inches longer and so cannot guarantee. However, last night during me scouring the internet I did come across a Dynomax #44591 that clearly indicates on a few sites that it fits both the 3.0 and the 2.4. So to be safe I will try to track that one down.

I also saw it for sale with a compatibility for the 4 and 6 engines. Maybe buy local to make the return easier id it does not fit. If you don't cut it they will take it back.

Looks like I am going to have trouble finding the dynomax 44591 as well - the 3 or so places I have called (including napa) indicate it isn't available any longer. So that leads me to the walker 44124 (the one listed for the 3.0L). If the dyno 44591 fits on either vehicle it would seem to suggest that the walker 44124 for the 3.0L would also work with the 2.4L.

Take the leap and go from there.
I have seen on YouTube videos monstrosities of patched up, welded, J-B weld, dozens of clamps exhaust systems. Seems just about anything will work- LOL.
As long as it clears the rear axle housing, you can trim off excess or add on a filler pipe to the forward end. .

Any updates on this? I’m having the same dilemma. It looks like the 44124 has 1/4 inch bigger diameter than the 44450. I’m tempted to try the 44064 for the 22RE pickup. It looks slightly longer and like it comes out higher under the car, but I’m not running the rear bumper side pieces so I’ve got more room to work with…

In case anyone is wondering, the 44064 pickup tailpipe seems to work. The clearance over the rear axle is a little close so we’ll see if I run into any issues whenever I get it off road, but around town and with one wheel up on the jack it’s been ok. It probably wouldn’t fit under the stock bumper end caps though…
