New High Lift-mounted on tailgate
I just bought a 60" high lift jack yesterday and with it I bought the 4xrac and the jack handle isolater. Installation was easy just measured where the holes went took off the panel on the inside of the tailgate and bolted the mounts on. I greased the tail gate latch system while I was in there too. The tailgate is alot heavier to open and close now but it is plenty strong enough to support the weight of the jack. I finished it off with two locks so no one can steal it easily. Anyways on to the pics...

Its a Besttop Supertop...waaaaay cheaper than a Canback you just can't put a rack on top but I like it a lot, great for camping! It was only $550 offline.

haha no not in Vacaville, you're probably thinking of Fairfield lol I live in a really quiet part of the city right behind the police station.
And as for hitting something and it ripping off it only sticks out on the left side and I can fix that by flipping the winching thing (Idk what its really called) into the clamping position so it won't stick out at all on either side. And I was gunna mount it on the inside on the bed rail but its easier to access on the outside of the camper shell and if you think about it it would be easier for someone to steal if it was on the inside because no one could see them trying to break it on the inside of the shell...but then again it is more obvious on the outside...but oh well I like it on the tailgate

Its not really "supported" there are 50 cent piece size washers on the inside of each bolt to disperse the load a little bit but the sheet metal is plenty strong enough to support the weight, the "bend" in the tailgate stiffens it alot

OH one thing I wasn't happy with was the 4xrac came with the bolts and nuts but no washers at all??? So I just went to ace and got some but you would think that it should come with the kit?
