Mounts to the block yes but to the actual frame no! only 4!

Dont remove the bolts on the block but off the frame mount!

With IFS, you could get the steering linkage out of the way, and the pan should slide out. I know you already dropped the pan, but an easy way to get it free is to put a 2x4 against it, and bang the wood with a sledge.

Hmm, worked for me, and the engine I was working on only had 30k on it. That bugger was on pretty tight before giving it a bunch of whacks.
