Welcome. Ask anything you need. I, for one, am not very mechanically inclined, but there are many on here that are. Sometimes you'll get an immediate answer, sometimes it'll take a while. Don't get discouraged. You'll get WAY more opinions than you'd ever hoped for.

Welcome. Before you post a new tread asking questions, please take the time to use the search function here or even google your question as most times it will bring you back here anyways.

yes we are extremely flooded, also a bad day just crashed my z28, well my truck is a 88 4x4 22re, and i was driving it off road and i tried to go up a big dirt pile, and basically it turned out to be too tall for it and i almost rolled the truck, i hit pretty hard, and now the truck just will not fire. it will crank and crank and crank all day long but just will not fire. I have replaced the rotor plugs wires rotor cap, i even took the valve cover off and checked the timing by moviing the crank to get piston 1 to TDC and the cam gear is lined up perfect. I restabbed the distributor and set the timing. It just wouldnt fire. So i took it to a local shop in town who said they knew what was up he assumed it was the distributor and put it in. Then he called me and said my injectors arent pulsing? but i smell fuel, i have no idea if the fuel is even making it to the rail or what im just at a loss here he thinks its the ECU and i have searched since thursday before i posted anything, i just need any help whatso ever ANY idea

Check all your important fuses. Then look for spark. You need air, fuel, compression, spark.

Like vitaly said. Check for your essentials before you go guessing.
Pull a spark plug out and put the plug wire on it.
Touch the threads or the prong to an electrical ground
Have someone turn the motor over while the plug is grounded.
If you have spark you should see it arc once per rotation.

see i have no idea what controls the injector firing, i heard the distributor but it had a new one in it, and it still didnt fix it, the shop is basically telling me to come get it because they dont know whats next, they said they think it needs a new ecu but i think at this point they are just guessing, they wanted to start charging me 70 dollars and hour, so i guess im back to square one just poorer ha
