??, thats the kind of question searching is for
but the rear is easy...re-do spring pearches to the correct width and your set, the front is the same but your gonna have to figure out how the steering is going to work, also you gotta make it all straight......unless your not worried about it? try searching on pirate4x4.com also

It's good to see someone think outside the box.
This topic was covered a long time ago in the galaxy far way......(oops got carried away).
Here's a link to a D44 SAS swap done by Erik a while back. He even covered steering issues.
I had to reach pretty far back for this one....
Hope it's ok to link from one of my old but still visit forum.

i was under the impression that the toyota 8" was a heck of a lot stronger than the D44...
i mean, there are guys who run 40s on their stock toy axles and there are guys who cant even run 35s on their full sizes without snapping axleshafts...
like wabbit said, i think your going backwards...

It's not the diff that people are concern about, it's the axlle itself. The stock D44 is stronger than stock Toyota birfield.
There used to be a birfield eliminator kit that Marlin used to sell which convert birfeild to D44 u-joint.
