From what i can see of your rear springs, there shot and need to be replaced. I would never recommend that anybody use lift blocks, but that`s up to you, in my opinion they can cause to many problems. Your better off using ball joint spacers to lift the front, if you crank the torsion bars up that will make the suspension very stiff and give you a hard ride.

I'm aware of the spring wrap caused by the blocks.
and have driven a truck with the torsion bars cranked ....its honestly not the different from my truck ..... my rears are shot .....any springs from a newer truck fit the 4runners ? they also need bushings...... bad

What i would recommend is buying a new set of lift spring when you can afford them, you will get a better lift and more flex. But if you want used springs, anything from 84-89 (4x4) will work on your 4Runner.

Move the springs in board, it will give you more tire clearance. The shocks on my 86 4Runner are inboard.
