need some advice

I noticed today my truck made some pinging under load. What do you suggest I do to help it????,its a 94 3.0 p/u with 312000 miles.Is seafoam any good??

I thought if pinging happened you need to run higher octane. did you buy fuel at a different place recently?

whens the last time the plugs were changed? timing checked? etc.

seafoam can help remove the carbon build up in the cyls which could be what is causing the pinging.

it's probably worth just doing a full tuneup, seafoam included.

Probably carbon build-up on the pistons after 300K miles. Yeah, you can use seafoam or another product called BG 44K that works very well at dissolving carbon.
