Need rear window help

I recently purchaced a truck and after charging the battery was checking evreything, and i was able to roll the rear window down but it was slugish. now it wont move at all, but the elctric motor still makes noise for both up and down. and it seems to be on its track because i pulled up it by hand.

I'm trying to solve the same problem. There is another post on here that says the relay is worn out and cant get enough power so the window wont go up. My problem is I have a different relay than that guy.

Cool

From what I understand the relay gets some power but in time the relay outputs less power than needed to roll the window up or down. I haven't bypassed the relay to test that theory though. Someday soon I will have time to disconnect my battery and hook it up to the window and see if that works. If it dose than I need to replace the relay. I was also thinking of bypassing the relay and wiring it with a fuse but I need to do some more research. The dude from 4crawler.com has a lot of good information on this problem and I would look there. He is also on here for questions and from the posts I read from him he's a really good guy.

I've got one down in Baja. I didn't have time to play with the relays so a local guy ran a new wire direct to the battery.

So I've already decided to bypass the wiring and put in a new switch. Can anyone tell me what amp switch (or even better yet, a part number) or specs I need and what amp in-line fuse?

Cool

I seen another guy on here having the same problem and his motor was very rusty so he got another window motor out of a camry that wasn't rusty and it worked for him. I think my rusty motor is too much resistance for the relay to overcome. I'm going to the junkyard today for a new relay and a new motor and I'll let you guys know what I find.

Cool

I bought a motor out of a junkyard for $40. It came out of the back drivers side door. It had virtually no rust. I soldered the wires to the plug then added heat shrink to protect the wires. I installed the new motor after putting a dab of grease on the sprocket and now it works again. Easily worth the $40 for the part.
