need performance camshaft help

anything in the upper 260's will be a benfit with a header. Dont have to neccasarily go with engnbldr. You can get your own cam milled at a local camshop plus other sources. I have a 260 cam on a 22R I got thru Delta Cam in Tacoma, WA for a VERY awesome price, bring em your stock cam, walk out with whatever cam timing you want. Great place!
Honestly tho, overall performance increase isn't amazing so dont expect a mircale with whatever cam timing you go with. It's still a normally aspirated 22R(E) but expect a marginal performance increase.

Hey Frisco,
Ted, from Engine Builder, did a great right up on 4x4wire, I believe, on exhaust. He said 2" all the way to muffler then 2.25" after the muffler.
Are you in Cali, Frisco? If so, which 'high flow cat' did you get? Everyone I've tried to get is like 8MILLION DOLLARS! lol. Jk, but it's HIGH

Hey Dove ,
I think I do, but I'm on my laptop outside, workin on my rig, "ChefYota4x4's '87 4Runner Build up" thread. I'm doing the LCE 4-1 Y-type to CAT, 2" on to Muffler(haven't figured out which Muffler), and then 2.25" out the back.
Here is Ted's email to me, ....
"There is lots more gains in exhaust system improvements, a 2" pipe size into the muffler with 2 1/4" on exit creates directional flow and puts around 6-10 ponies to the ground.
The 261C is OK for hills, and good if you get offroad a lot. The 268C is the best choice by far for highway and towing/hauling or dealing with hills.
For wires, we use OEM, you can't find better.

It's been too cold up here lately! I'm ready for a 70 degree day. It is May after all!
I have to do something with the exhaust on my 85. Muffler has holes it it. I have no idea about the cat. It looks like the original. Doesn't Ted recommend against headers, just because they don't realize that much hp gain?
