Welcome
I have read that you can get some extra HP with some mods but it's not really worth the money or hassle to do on that 3.0.The search feature has a lot of topics on this and is vary helpful

Ive got a 3.0 and have had no problems with it other then just normal maint. But after reading on this forum for a while and others also, I think the only mod Im going to do to mine is weld a trailer hitch to the front of it so it will be easier to drag...regards...Rick

In my opinion nothing.....just start saving all the money you can to buy a 3.4, and when the 3.0 blows up do a swap then you'll have all the power you need
If you want to know what will be worth doing to it do a search there is thousands of threads on that topic....good luck and take care

ya...just save up and buy a 3.4 and do the swap..thats your best bang for your buck...

headers and like maybe a 2.5" or 2.25"in exhaust would be better than a 3in....

if you want more pep around town you could regear again..go to 5.29's..it'll be REALLY peppy around town..but at about 75-80 its gonna be SCREAMIN rpm wise..

you expect too much out of the 3.0..it wasnt built for horsepower..

get a supercharged 3.4... check craigslist and junkyards for motors..and if you save up enough money..you could get a high mileage one cheap...rebuild it..throw some cams in it (if they make cams for the 3.4...idk i dont own one) bore it like .030...electric fan..if you have an automatic throw that hunk a junk in the trash and get a good 5speed..

The 3.0 works fine for alot of people ut if your one of those that absolutely
have more power then dont do anything to the 3.0 just save up and swap a 3.4 or something bigger and better.
