NEED HELP Pinion Nut Wont Budge

so just finished doin lockright install and i am going back together but the freakin pinion nut will not come off ive seen the good write up on 4crawler but the damn nut is unlocked and i am stuck completely! ive heated it up (scetchy since the gas tank is right there) but nothing seams to work

Sounds like you may need a bigger "hammer". I use a 3' piece of steel pipe on my 1/2" drive breaker bar to loosen really tight bolts and nuts (crank pulley, CV hub nuts, etc).

just thinking dremel it off anyone done that? at least till the locking part comes off and then maybe it will budge?

X2 on the pipe over the breaker bar handle. I needed to do that same to break the t-case flange nut loose on my '85. I had that length of pipe bent into a good arc before the nut slowly released. I had tried the regular breaker bar and two different impact guns and none of those budged the nut.

Well thanks all didnt have a breaker bar but i did have a exhaust bracket off a harley that did the same job hahahahaha

ive used a piece of pipe on a ratchet braced on the frame, and put the sucker n 4lo and reverse
