ok...i got my motor all rebuilt and put back in the truck. i turn ign. switch on...it started..but idle is real rough. i check to see if engine light is on. well,it's not. hell to make a long story short.someone pulled the bulb. so i repaced it. i jumped T1 and E1...here is the situation

turn key on...1 fast blink.(like 1/2 sec.) then as follows

1long blink then(blink blink) then ( blink blink blink).....1 long blink then (blink blink blink blink ) then blink blink blink

i fixxed it guys. it was the mass air flow sensor. no wonder that kid blew the truck up. he said he never once seen the check engine light on. and he ran it for 8 months with a bad idle. i guess his trip to paris island kicked his trucks ass....the air temperature sensor was saying that the air temp was 140-150deg. i went to this dude(messican) and he sent me to his brother-in-law.. OMG. this guy has yota parts out the yin-yang. he gave me the m.a.f. sensor..and also i score a sliding rear window from him
he has a 2000 toyota tacoma...4wd rollover. 55,xxx miles sitting there

nice fix! glad it was simple, book mark those pages for future reference.

also the 22re uses a VFM (vane flow meter) not a MAF.
