Question My truck is leaning off to the right

I noticed it leaning to the right a few weeks ago, but since it's just been parked I wasn't really worried about it. it's going to be on the road soon and I'm wondering what is the cause of this lean. the rear is leaning(2.5") more than the front(.5") broken leaf?

I can't quite believe what I'm seeing here, so you tell me. Is the leaf spring/axle/lower shock mount at about a 60 degree angle instead of 90 degrees on the passenger side? It appears to be some loose u-bolts from here, it should look the same on both sides, parallel to the axle. That would be the problem if so. Do you have lift blocks?

Man, them hippy peepers are better than mine! I can't really see the mount....

Is the bed perhaps cocked to the right relative to the cab? Kinda looks like that to me....

Lighter girlfriend?

Actually, if it is not to bad you may just be able to adjust the torsion bars. Those do tend to get uneven over time.

Checking the leaf springs, shackles and bolts wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

dont forget to check your tire pressures also.

if you bought the truck like this it could have been wrecked and have a bent frame. mine was totaled, the frame was bent really bad and it leaned like a two legged donkey.

gotta love yota frames though, tough as hell. bent it back and its A O.K

I'd check the u bolts, and shackles. It looks like something may be messed up down there, but its hard to tell from the picture.

Just FYI the truck with a full tank of gas will probably lean slightly to the right because thats where the tank is, but it shouldnt be leaning anywhere near 2.5" over.

My friend's YJ does the same thing and we can't figure out why. Fairly new OME 2.5" lift on it too.

Might be spring sag or a worn out bushing.

mine leans exactly the same as yours....and i know its because of one broken leaf right in the middle of the leaf back on the rear passenger side. i'll get around to replacing it one day

so i'd take a look at them

My eyes may be shot? I see the same as before, like this is deja vu. Well uh, anyhow, try tightening all your u-bolts uniformly. Should be all same length of exposed thread, right side same as left side of the axle. All the same torque, 90 ft/lbs. I just noticed you have lift blocks, when I did my u-bolts constantly needed retightened.
