MSD ignition stuff for the 3.0????
Hey,
Just curious to see if anyone is running an MSD ignition on their 3.0.
I am going to purchase a stock igniter from an individual on the board but I may want to upgrade later.
anybody have part #'s? anyone try to bypass the igniter and run a non-special version?
Thanks,
Jon

I haven't installed it yet but I gathered all of the part numbers from MSD themselves. They advised me however that the kit is not plug and play and that you will need to splice into a few wires. Shouldn't be to bad but before i do it I wanted to make sure everything else ignition wise ran fine. I'll gather the part numbers and repost them back up.
So for now a small bump, and hopefully someone running the setup will chime in and inform us on how the install went and any noticeable changes on their Yota.

Having MSD 6A and 6AL on my chebbies.
I don't see where installing an MSD on a 3.slo would be a problem.
I'll be installing one, that is if I keep my current 3.slo
Doin engine replacement currently.
Just know they don't like alot of under hood heat.
They do make noise, you will hear it buzz if mounted in cab.
They do work.
